Meet my pets! - Gwen and Pippa

I thought I would introduce to you all my pets and tell you a bit about them. Let’s start off with Gwen and Pippa!

Gwen and Pippa (Pip) are female guinea pigs. They are almost 2 years old. Gwen is a cream colour and Pip is Black, white and tan.

I got them in my final year at university from the adoption section at pets at home!

Before I got them, I spent a lot of time researching in to owning guinea pigs as I haven’t owned them in a long time (my sister and I had a trio when we were younger). I ensured I had a large cage set up for them ready to move into (pic below) and plenty of supplies to care for them properly.

I decided I wanted to rescue a pair of guinea pigs rather than buy, so spent some time looking at different rescues before I ended up getting these two girls. I did not plan on getting the guinea pigs the day I when in pet at home but when I saw them I instantly fell in love with them and their personality!

They were nervous at first (which is expected) but soon learn the noise of the treat jar ❤️!

Unfortunately I lost Gwen before posting this post. Luckily Pip is not alone as the pair have been bonded with a neutered male called Elvis for over a year. (Post coming soon).
